Happy New Year!
Yes I know I am 5 months late but I haven’t posted to my blog since July 2020. Of course there is a reason for that, which is the point of this post that I am doing.
I know that some people would think that there is no need to explain why I haven’t been active on my site but I really want to be transparent with my audience.
I have spent a lot of time gaining clarity around what type of business I want to have and have done a lot of soul searching. This soul searching has really caused me to kind of go into a shell.
I’ve been semi-consistent on social media and that too has been a struggle for me.
But the purpose of this blog post is to explain where I’ve been and why I am done not showing up.
Also, if you take a look around my site, I’ve done some updates (or more like revamp) that took me FOREVER but I got it done so pleeeeeaaaase take a look around (I worked hard on making it beautiful but functional).
What I’ve Been Up To
So you may be wondering what I’ve been up to? SOOOO many wonderful things! BUT, before I go into that story I would like to give you some backstory.
Backstory
So about 3 years ago a Spelman sister of mine posted that she recently pulled her Human Design Chart and found out she was a Projector. Curious to know what Human Design and a Projector was, I googled it and pulled my chart (you use the same info as you would for an astrology natal chart- birth date, time, and place). I found out that I too was a Projector but I didn’t explore it any further.
So fast forward to early June 2020, something was calling me to learn more about Human Design and specifically being a Projector. I should have written it down when it happened because thinking about it now I am not sure what sparked this desire.
So I posted in my coaching certification Facebook group if any one knew how to run a business as a Projector. Projectors are known as non-Sacral beings- meaning we don’t have the same sustainable energy that about 70% of the world’s population has. So certain parts of running a business can be draining and I wanted to make sure I stayed in alignment.

Sooo many people commented! I was blown away by the amount of knowledge people had. One person in particular, Tiffani Purdy, stood out to me because she gave the most helpful information and she had a quiz I could take. She also gave out her Instagram handle so I went to her profile and binged her content. I was hooked! I wanted to know more about Human Design so I started doing even more research. And I wanted to know more about how I could use it with my clients.
Well, Tiffani stood out for a reason because she has a program called The Enrich Formula doing just that! I was so excited to be able to use this system on not only myself but my clients as well.
In September 2020, I took the Enrich Formula and learned so much about how to stay in energetic alignment and also how to use Human Design to find your soul’s blueprint or what I like to call your soul-print- you know because helping others find their purpose in life is kinda my jam
So to make a long story longer (LOL) I’ve started using Human Design in my business and offering Human Design Readings. The two types of readings I offer are called Purpose Soul-Print and Business Alignment. I have also integrated it within all my coaching offerings.
In February 2021 I launched a 1-to-1 program called Unlock Your Inner Magic and realized within 2 weeks of launching it that I really didn’t want to do long-term 1-to-1 and I only offered it that way because everyone and their momma tells you that you should launch a 1-to-1 program before you launch a group coaching program. So I stopped promoting it, shelved it, and re-imagined it as a group coaching program which feels sooooo much more in alignment with what I want to do.
I haven’t launched it yet but I do have the information under my work with me tab and I plan to launch it Summer 2021 (or sooner if my waiting list gets to at least 10 people).
Why I am done NOT showing up
So showing up clearly has been a struggle for me. I would post on both the blog and social media and then stop. It has been a very inconsistent 11 months. But I realized that not showing up wasn’t serving me. I mean how can I help moms and women do what they love if I don’t show up and show them what is possible?
The Power of Clarity
What also helped me to realize that I NEED to show up is clarity (or at least more than I have been- it still needs to be energetically aligned).
Clarity has helped me to know HOW I can help. I’ve always known WHAT I can help with but HOW has been a struggle.
And in taking this time to find the clarity I need I’ve also figured out how I want to show up in other places like my social media accounts.
Also the things I mentioned in my birthday reflection that I wanted to bring forth to the world (*cough cough* my YouTube channel *cough cough*) that too is coming, I promise. I also was still unsure about the types of videos I wanted to create so I’ve been putting it off.
But what I will say about the power of clarity is that once you become clear on one thing, it starts a domino effect.
So to summarize because I know my backstory was long as hell and you might have skipped that part. What I’ve been up to:
- I learned Human Design using The Enrich Formula and started using it in my business.
- Took time to get clarity around HOW I want to show up in my business.
So now I know what’s coming next. I want to keep it a surprise but I have started an audio newsletter that will be emailed out every Tuesday. It is hosted on Soundcloud and just because you are a reader of my blog, you can Listen to Week 1 below.
