It seems that we are all in search of our life’s passion, whether you believe you are searching or not.

Millennials are known for staying at a job for 2 years and then moving on to another job that is more fulfilling (Guilty 🙋🏽‍♀️).

There is a reason why we have no issues leaving a job at the drop of a hat for whatever reason we see fit.

We are in search of something that is fulfilling (at least for most of us, we all know that one person that is just working for a paycheck).

Some people may feel that spending a few moments thinking about their passions and dreams is a waste of precious time. We all have obligations that we have to worry about: career, kids, bills, errands, etc.

BUT, using these few moments might just be the defining moments of your life! You can finally discover the one thing that enables you to truly be happy.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s not easy finding your passion.

It takes time, soul-searching, and some life experience to identify what you’re truly passionate about.

But, I’m telling you, once you do make that discovery, it is like having an ah-ha moment. It truly is the most rewarding gift you can give to yourself.

So, because I want to help you find your passion, I have provided you a list of 15 questions to ask yourself.

These prompts are written to tap into your wants, needs, desires, and fantasies.

So have fun while answering the questions. Don’t think too hard about it. Your first thought is what you should write.

Happy Discovery!

  1. How do you define passion?

What does living a passionate life look like for you? What makes you want to jump out of bed every morning and take on the world?

  1. What do you REALLY want?

This is about what others want for you. Dig deep and think if you could have anything, do anything, what would it be? What would you want? Is it to move across the world? Is it to make a million dollars? What is it that YOU want.

  1. What is stopping you from getting what you want?

Again, dig deep. What is preventing you from living a passionate life? Is it fear? Is int your environment?

  1. What did you love to do as a child?

Think back to something you loved to do in your childhood. It will normally give you clues to what you actually love doing.

  1. 5. If you had unlimited resources, what would you do?

If money was unlimited and you had all the resources you needed to live out your passion, what would you do? Really let your mind go on this one. Remember: resources are unlimited

6. What would you do if I knew you couldn’t fail and you had guaranteed success?

Use your imagination here. If failure wasn’t apart of the plan, what would you do? If you knew that success was guaranteed no matter what, how would you proceed? What ideas would you bring to light that you’ve been holding onto for months or even years? Don’t limit yourself by thinking logically here.

  1. If you could spend today doing whatever you desire, what would it be?

Let your mind go. It could be something related to your work, your home, or simply a lark.

  1. How do you feel when you put all your effort into accomplishing one of your goals?

Notice these feelings. You’ll no doubt want to experience them more often.

  1. What types of things do your friends, colleagues, or family usually seek your input for?
This is the sign you've been looking for

Think about what your friends and family especially come to you for. Do they ask you how to create a monthly budget because they see how well you manage your money? Do they ask you love advice because you have a great relationship with your partner? Think about what people ask you about over and over again.

  1. What problems do you want to solve in the world?

Think about something that every time you read about this problem or see it on TV, it makes your blood boil. You want the problem to be fixed ASAP so the world can be a better place.

  1. If you could be remembered for 3 things after you die, what would they be?

Think about your legacy here. What lessons do you want to leave behind for the generations after you? What would you want the world to remember about you?

  1. Who are your biggest supporters?

It’s wise to know the people that will stand behind you and help you pursue your passions, no matter what.

  1. Which people in your life inspire you and why?

It’s important to know who inspires you so you can spend more time with them. What is it about them that lights you up so much? Decide to take every step to be inspired more often.

  1. If you were to make just one radical change in your life right now to make life better, what would it be?

Your answer to this question will really open up your possibilities. Moving to a bigger city might really spice up your life. Getting more education might be a goal—plus you’ll likely make more money.

  1. What’s missing from your life?

Answering this question requires considerable soul-searching.

If you take the time to thoroughly ponder each of these questions, you’ll be pleased with what you discover. Your true passions are inside you, just waiting to be let loose to bring you excitement, joy, and fulfillment.

You can download the questions as a PDF here.
